Retiring Sharks skipper Wade Graham has once again been recognized for his outstanding leadership and dedication to the game of Rugby League.

The Rugby League Players Association (RLPA) has awarded him the prestigious Dennis Tutty Award for the second consecutive year.

This award is presented annually to a current rugby league player who has demonstrated exceptional leadership on and off the field, as well as a commitment to the advancement and protection of their fellow players' rights.

Graham, along with Broncos player Chelsea Lenarduzzi, was announced as the men's and women's winners respectively.

Both players have been recognized for their contributions during the longest CBA negotiation in rugby league history, a dispute that required unprecedented player action.

Graham's journey towards this achievement began when he became a Delegate and later a member of the Player Advisory Group.

In May 2019, he was appointed to the RLPA Board.

Clint Newton, the Chief Executive Officer of the RLPA, commended Graham for his unwavering commitment and the significant amount of work he has selflessly dedicated to the game in his final year as a player.
