Gould Cautions Galvin About Hostile Homecoming

In anticipation of a challenging match, Phil Gould, the GM of Football for the Canterbury Bulldogs, has advised young five-eighth Lachlan Galvin to brace himself for a tough crowd when he faces the Wests Tigers.

This will be Galvin's first game against his former team following a controversial mid-season transfer that took place before the June 30 deadline.

Reports from zerotackle.com indicate that Galvin is likely to receive a less-than-friendly welcome from the Tigers' supporters at CommBank Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The atmosphere is expected to be intensified by Galvin's past experiences with the team, especially since his departure was marred by controversy.

His manager arrived at the Tigers' headquarters with a detailed dossier about the club's shortcomings, and rumors suggested that Galvin had issues with coach Benji Marshall.

Despite the Tigers' management downplaying any anticipated hostility leading up to the match, Phil Gould believes Galvin should still be prepared for a challenging encounter.

He described Galvin as "(He's an) extremely level-headed kid, quite unflappable actually.

Very mature beyond his years." He acknowledged that the young player would likely be targeted on the field but emphasized that such challenges are part of the sport.

Gould stated, "It's going to be a tough afternoon for him, of course it will be, and I've got no doubt he will be targeted.

But that's football, these are the things you face."
