Phil Gould has expressed unwavering support for Bulldogs head coach Cameron Ciraldo, labeling him not only suitable for the role but also a potential long-term leader for the club over the next 30 years.

In an interview with Nine, the Bulldogs' general manager of football emphasized that Ciraldo is a career coach who is already proving his worth and has just begun his journey.

"It was never a risk in my mind whatsoever," Gould stated regarding Ciraldo's appointment.

He dismissed concerns about Ciraldo being a "rookie coach," asserting that to him, Ciraldo was not a rookie at all.

Having been recruited from Penrith, Ciraldo played a significant role in developing the impressive defensive strategy characteristic of the Panthers.
