The Gold Coast Titans have strengthened their pathways programs by retaining two prominent figures in the rugby league community.
First, Nathan Small, a development specialist, will join the club after his tenure as a pathways coach at Queensland Rugby League. His wealth of experience, nearly two decades in the field, along with a vast football network, aims to enhance the Titans' junior program.
More notably, former NRL player Todd Carney will sign a permanent contract with the club starting in 2026. He has been working with the Titans on a part-time basis while leading Keebra Park State High School to success in both Queensland and National Schoolboy competitions. His role is set to expand as he will assist in mentoring the Titans' up-and-coming players as a specialist coach, leveraging his deep understanding of the game.
Scott Sattler, the Titans' Director of Football, expressed his enthusiasm about the appointments of both individuals. He stated, "To have the ability to secure both Nathan and Todd sends a strong message to the Future Titans contracted players, as well as the wider community surrounding the level of specific coaching players will receive," as reported on the club's website.
