Gold Coast Titans plan Grant bid

BREAKING: Shock club’s million dollar bid to poach Storm superstar revealed

The Titans are reportedly preparing a major contract offer for Harry Grant, using money set aside for AJ Brimson to strengthen their bid.

Grant is one of several NRL stars who can test the market when free agency opens on November 1, a week away.

CODE Sports reports that the Titans are among several clubs interested in the Queensland-born Storm, Kangaroos and Maroons hooker.

Grant has indicated he is open to moving on from Melbourne.

The Storm may face significant change, with Grant and Cameron Munster off contract at the end of 2027 and coach Craig Bellamy's future uncertain.

Storm chairman Matt Tripp told CODE he remains hopeful of keeping Grant.

"I'm still very hopeful of keeping Harry,"

Tripp said he would not stand in the way if Grant wanted to explore his options.

"I'm not opposed to Harry going to November 1 if he feels he wants to test his worth and see what's out there.

"I've got no doubt there will be interest from a lot of clubs, but it's my job to convince guys like Harry and Cameron (Munster) that the Storm is the right club for them."

Brimson is contracted to the Titans until the end of 2030 but has permission to consider other options.

The PNG Chiefs are the leading contenders to sign the fullback.
