FIVE November 1 targets: Gold Coast Titans

The Gold Coast Titans, after finishing near the bottom in 2025 and with a new coach onboard, are eagerly anticipating November 1 as a significant date in their calendar. This date holds more importance for them than for many other clubs.

As it stands, the Titans have only eight players confirmed for the 2027 season. Among those, prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard has been rumored to be leaving before then.

For new head coach Josh Hannay, this presents an opportunity to completely revamp the team according to his preferences.

During Des Hasler's two-year tenure, the Titans frequently struggled without a first-choice halfback, leading to persistent uncertainties about the future of their star forwards and whether they would remain with the club.

Looking ahead to 2026, they could face similar challenges with limited time to make significant changes. However, the Titans are well-positioned in terms of salary cap flexibility, possessing almost a fully open cap to explore options in the market. Only a few of their current players who are off-contract at the end of 2026 are expected to take up substantial cap space.

While they await decisions from Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Beau Fermor regarding their futures, it's clear that it's time for a rebuild at Robina.

Current Gold Coast Titans 2027 squad:
AJ Brimson, Jaylan De Groot, Jojo Fifita, Moeaki Fotuaika, Keano Kini, Kurtis Morrin, Chris Randall.
