Gold Coast lock in rising halfback

‘Make no mistake’: Titans’ strong message as Zane Harrison signs on to end ‘speculation’

A three-assist performance and a winning field goal against Penrith highlighted Zane Harrison's potential as a first-grade playmaker.

The 20-year-old halfback impressed in 11 games this season before injury cut short his rookie campaign.

The Gold Coast Titans have secured Harrison until the end of 2029, days before the November 1 deadline.

A local player and graduate of the Future Titans program, he could have attracted interest from clubs seeking a long-term playmaker.

The Titans have also signed key spine players Jayden Campbell through 2031 and Keano Kini through 2030.

"I've loved this club since I was a little kid, and pulling on a Titans jersey is all I've ever wanted to do," Harrison said.

"I'm really excited about what Josh is building and the direction this team is heading. I want to be part of that, and it was important to me to stay here and build something with the club.

"I'm grateful for the faith the club has shown in me."

Coach Josh Hannay said Harrison had consistently spoken of his teammates, his love for the Titans and his desire to bring success to his hometown.

Hannay sees Harrison as an important part of his effort to make the Titans competitive again.
