Giants Part Ways with Coach After Losses

Bradford Bulls 26-14 Huddersfield Giants | Super League highlights

Huddersfield Giants have terminated head coach Luke Robinson following a disappointing defeat at Bradford in the Betfred Super League, marking their fifth consecutive loss this season.

This result leaves the Giants at the bottom of the league, without any points from their five matches and a staggering minus-82 scoring difference, ultimately leading to Robinson's dismissal.

Reflecting on the decision, Huddersfield's director of change Ralph Rimmer stated: "A fantastic man, Luke Robinson - a legend of this club and will remain so, but nevertheless this set of circumstances has brought about this change."

The match against Bradford featured a lackluster first half, ending 4-2, but the Bulls surged ahead in the second half, leaving Huddersfield trailing.

Robinson returned as Giants head coach in September 2024 after previously serving as interim head coach in 2020.

Andy Kelly, the club's director of rugby, will take over as interim coach for the upcoming match against Wigan Warriors, while the club seeks new candidates by March 28.
