The Sharks have officially announced the signing of New Zealand international Najvada George for a one-year NRLW contract set for 2026, as reported by sharks.com.au.
George brings strength to the Cronulla forward pack after obtaining a release from her final season with the North Queensland Cowboys to be nearer to her family.
With a track record as a two-time Grand Finalist, the Melbourne-born prop has made 31 NRLW appearances since her debut with St George Illawarra in 2019.
The 26-year-old has had tenures with Parramatta in 2022 and Wests Tigers in 2023-2024 before joining the Cowboys in 2025.
Additionally, George has a background in elite basketball, having played for the WNBL's Dandenong Rangers and represented the under-17 Australian Sapphires before transitioning her skills into rugby league.
Combining power and experience, George is ready to take on a new challenge in the Sutherland Shire, working under the guidance of coach Tony Herman.
