Geoff Toovey, the legendary Sea Eagles figure, is reportedly considering throwing in the towel at his role as one of the senior pathways coaches at Manly.
This decision comes in response to the club's recent sacking, which has stirred up some real drama behind the scenes and left Toovey feeling as if one of his mates has been done dirty.
According to reports from The Daily Telegraph's Phil Rothfield, the former premiership-winning coach is not happy with how his close friend was given the boot by the club.
Rothfield hinted at the turmoil, stating, "There's some drama behind the scenes." It seems that changes in the pathways program have led to Toovey's mate being shown the door, allegedly for sharing too much with the media.
In a recent interview on the Big Sports Breakfast, Rothfield revealed, "One of his close mates was marched out of the building last week… he was basically sacked for talking to the media." Understandably, Toovey is said to be really cut up about the whole affair.
The situation at Manly is getting tense, and it remains to be seen whether Toovey will stick around or make a dramatic exit.
