Adam Gee last officiated a grand final in 2023, when the Panthers came back to defeat the Broncos.
He has now been appointed referee for Sunday's Roosters and Knights decider, the NRL confirmed.
Gee was widely expected to get the job after a strong finals campaign.
Ashley Klein was demoted following a controversial performance in the Warriors' loss to Newcastle.
Gerard Sutton replaced Klein in the preliminary finals, refereeing the Panthers and Knights match while Gee handled the Roosters and Dolphins fixture.
Grant Atkins was the on-field referee for last year's grand final, when the Broncos beat the Storm.
Gee's 2026 officiating team includes touch judges Tyson Brough and Phil Henderson, with Chris Butler serving as bunker official.
