Luke Garner, an edge forward for the Penrith Panthers, is preparing for his second-ever grand final day.

His first experience occurred in 2015 when he played for Manly's under-20s team.

In that match, Garner faced off against future Penrith stars such as Jarome Luai, Moses Leota, James Fisher-Harris, and Dylan Edwards.

However, Panthers' halfback Nathan Cleary was absent from the game as he represented the Australian Schoolboys side overseas.

Despite Garner scoring a try in the first half, the Panthers ultimately dominated the match, winning with a final score of 34-18.

This defeat has stayed with Garner over the years, fueling his desire to replicate the Panthers' success in this year's grand final against the Broncos.

Garner has come full circle since that previous grand final, now playing for the Panthers and having the opportunity to create history with the team.

He is determined to make the most of this second chance and hopes to contribute to the Panthers' victory on Sunday.

As the grand final approaches, Garner's focus and determination are evident.

He is eager to play his part in securing a win for the Panthers and to finally experience the joy of lifting the trophy on grand final day.
