Lachlan Galvin has reportedly signed with the Canterbury Bulldogs, effective immediately.
According to zerotackle.com, the five-eighth was granted permission to negotiate with other clubs for an early release last week.
The Sydney Morning Herald has now confirmed that a deal has been finalized, allowing Galvin to wear the blue and white.
For rival clubs interested in acquiring Galvin from the Tigers for the remainder of 2025, a $165,000 transfer fee was required, and it appears this has been settled.
Galvin is expected to sign a three-and-a-half-year deal, which will keep him at Belmore until at least the end of 2028.
Initially contracted with the Tigers until the end of 2026, Galvin had indicated he would be leaving at term's end, and at that time, there was no request for an immediate release from either party.
Despite public comments from Bulldogs' director of football Phil Gould stating that the team would not pursue Galvin, a contract reportedly worth $750,000 per year has been signed.
