Paul Gallen and Phil Gould once again found themselves at loggerheads in a heated on-air stoush over the controversial decision to deny Manly a try against Parramatta in the latest Rugby League showdown.
The Sea Eagles were left scratching their heads after what appeared to be a clear try by Tolu Kuola following a stellar play by Tom Trbojevic was disallowed by the Bunker.
The Bunker officials ruled that Jake Trbojevic's defensive maneuver impeded Luca Moretti from making a play to stop Tom Trbojevic's run, a decision that the NRL's head of football, Graham Annesley, defended the following day.
Despite some arguing that Moretti's efforts were lacking, the rules were clear and ultimately it didn't matter if he could have stopped Tom Trbojevic or not.
While Gould slammed the decision as "terrible" during his Channel 9 commentary, Gallen stood by the officials' ruling, echoing the sentiments of fellow commentator Andrew Johns.
"I heard everything Gus and Joey said on the call yesterday and I absolutely agree with every single part of it - including the part where they said Jake Trbojevic stopped in the line," Gallen stated during the '100% Footy' segment on Monday night.
