Dane Gagai, the Newcastle Knights' experienced outside back, has expressed his readiness to leave the club if necessary, following a contract snub.
Despite being a standout performer in a struggling team, Gagai's efforts weren't enough to secure a contract extension for next year, which was estimated to be around $400,000.
As a result, he is now off-contract and has the opportunity to explore options with other clubs.
In an interview with The Newcastle Herald, Gagai affirmed his affection for the Knights but stated, "I will have precisely zero issues leaving if that's what it comes to."
