Dane Gagai has been declared the top player of the year for the 2024 season, nabbing the prestigious Danny Buderus Medal at nib Newcastle Knights.

In his ninth season with the Club, Gagai proved to be a key player, showing consistency and reliability in his 22 games throughout the season.

With a total of 192 games under his belt for the Club, Gagai's hard work paid off as he also scooped up the NRL Players' Player award and Knights Gladiator of the Year award, presented by the Once A Knight Old Boys.

In a true display of skill and determination, Dane scored eight tries, busted through 143 tackles, and maintained an impressive average of 147 run metres.

After receiving the award from Danny Buderus and Head Coach Adam O'Brien, Gagai expressed his gratitude and pride in his achievements.

This win is a testament to Dane's tenaciousness and competitive spirit, making him a true champion on the field.
