Las Vegas: At just 21 years old, Hamish Stewart has made quite the impression in his inaugural NRL season, being recognized by St George Illawarra's senior players as a prospective captain.
Co-captain Damien Cook shared his thoughts, stating, "I think he'd be a great future captain of the Dragons."
His fellow co-captain, Clint Gutherson, echoed this sentiment, adding, "Hamish bleeds red and white, his dad [Scott] has been here [involved with the club] for 25 years, he's been around this club since he was six years old, and they are the type of players you want leading clubs - it's definitely in the future for him."
The recognition took Stewart by surprise, especially coming from two seasoned figures within the team.
