Robbie Farah, the Wests Tigers great, found himself at the center of a "heated" incident with former assistant coach David Furner before Furner's departure from the club.

Despite having a year left on his coaching contract, Furner was let go by the joint-venture club last week.

It was initially reported that Tigers bosses overruled Benji Marshall in the decision to cut Furner loose.

However, it has now been revealed that there is more to the story.

The Sunday Telegraph disclosed that Furner and Farah clashed in the weeks leading up to Furner's termination.

According to veteran journalist Phil Rothfield, the pair "almost came to blows." The incident has sparked further interest in the turmoil surrounding the Tigers, who have experienced back-to-back wooden spoons.
