Jessica Kennedy has proven her loyalty to Wests Tigers, as the club has rewarded her with her first NRLW contract.
Despite being a late bloomer in the sport, Kennedy's passion for rugby league led her to start playing at the age of 14 in the Penrith district Under 18s competition for the Lower Mountains Sea Eagles.
She later made the move to Glenmore Park, where her skills continued to develop.
It was in 2019 that Kennedy caught the attention of former Tigers' Tarsha Gale coach Paul Bent.
Impressed by her talent and dedication, Bent approached Kennedy and she has been a part of the Wests Tigers family for the past five seasons.
Her commitment to the club has not gone unnoticed, and now she has the opportunity to showcase her abilities at the NRLW level.
In 2021, Kennedy made her debut for the Harvey Norman Women's Premiership side, proving that her hard work and perseverance have paid off.
Not only did she make her mark on the field, but she also co-captained NSW City, further solidifying her leadership qualities.
Kennedy's journey is a testament to the power of loyalty and dedication in rugby league.
Despite starting later than most, she has not let that hinder her progress.
Instead, she has embraced the sport and worked tirelessly to improve her skills.
With her first NRLW contract, Kennedy has the chance to continue making a name for herself and contribute to the success of Wests Tigers.
