Wests Tigers have made a significant signing ahead of the upcoming season, securing the services of former Parramatta Eels forward Amelia Huakau.
The 28-year-old, who recently tied the knot, is thrilled to join the Tigers as they embark on their second campaign in the Telstra Women's Premiership.
Huakau brings a wealth of experience to the table, having made her NRLW debut with the Roosters in 2020 and playing a crucial role in all nine games for the Eels last season.
Her international debut came in 2022, representing Tonga with pride in the Pacific Championships.
It's worth noting that Huakau's rugby league journey began in South Auckland, where she fell in love with the sport at the age of 20 before making the move to Sydney in 2018 to play for the Wentworthville Magpies in the Harvey Norman Women's Premiership.
