The retirement of Krystal Rota as the Kiwi Ferns skipper has opened up the opportunity for a new captain to lead New Zealand's women's rugby league team in the upcoming Pacific Championships.

The Titans captain and experienced representative player, Georgia Hale, is a strong contender for the prestigious position.

Hale, who has represented her country in 13 Tests since her debut in 2015, including two World Cup campaigns, is more than qualified to take on the role.

She has also served as the vice-captain for the Kiwi Ferns in recent international campaigns, contributing to their success in winning the World Cup Nines title in 2019.

Hale's leadership skills are evident not only on the field but also off it, as she played a crucial role in guiding the Gold Coast to their first-ever NRLW grand final.

Her exceptional performance throughout the season, making 501 tackles at an impressive 99 percent efficiency, has earned her the admiration and support of Titans coach Karyn Murphy.

With her experience, skills, and leadership qualities, Hale is a prime candidate to lead the Kiwi Ferns in their upcoming matches.
