Roosters star Angus Crichton is set to make a shock cross-code switch from rugby league to rugby union, following in the footsteps of his teammate Joseph Suaalii.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Rugby Australia has been in negotiations with Crichton for several weeks.
The 27-year-old has a background in rugby, having played for the Australian Schoolboys and winning a GPS title in 2013 while at the Scots College.
Despite his potential move, Crichton remains contracted to the Roosters until the end of 2024, and the club is reportedly eager to extend his contract.
His manager, David Rawlings, has been open about the discussions with the Roosters' management.
This switch comes as Rugby Australia continues to target Roosters players, with Suaalii already making the move to rugby union earlier this year.
