Jonah Pezet had an impressive breakout year in 2023, making his NRL debut for the Melbourne Storm and also being a key player for the Easts Tigers in their Premiership-winning season.

After excelling in the lower grades in 2022, Pezet's hard work in the pre-season paid off as he earned his spot in the NRL team.

In his debut against the Gold Coast Titans, he showcased his skills with a memorable try, displaying his exceptional vision and kicking abilities.

Throughout the season, Pezet made seven appearances, scoring two tries, kicking two goals, and making three offloads.

He also played a crucial role in setting up his teammates, recording five try assists and four line break assists.

While regular halves Jahrome Hughes and Cameron Munster dominated the starting halves position, Pezet had the opportunity to shine for the Tigers.

He contributed with one try, 22 goals, three try assists, and two line break assists for the team.

In the Grand Final, Pezet proved his composure under pressure by kicking five crucial goals, helping the Tigers secure their first premiership in 32 years.

Jonah Pezet's impressive performances in both the NRL and the HostPlus Cup earned him recognition as a rising star in the rugby league world.
