Demitric Vaimauga attributes his rapid rise with the Warriors to his time spent in the Queensland-based NRL COVID-19 bubble when he was just 17.
Although ineligible to play NRL at that age, the Warriors brought him over from New Zealand as part of their extended squad during the 2022 season.
This decision is now proving beneficial, as Vaimauga has the chance to establish himself in the team's lineup following an injury to skipper Mitch Barnett, who is out for the rest of the season due to an ACL injury.
Vaimauga has been contracted to the Warriors since he was 15, demonstrating that the club has long viewed him as a key part of their future.
