From Koori Knockout to Kangaroos: Edwards' Journey Begins?

Addo-Carr's sanction over Koori Knockout fight gives Penrith star a shot at Kangaroos debut

Penrith fullback Dylan Edwards has been given a golden opportunity to make his debut for the Australian Kangaroos, as he has been called into the extended squad for the Pacific Test series.

This call-up comes after the controversial absence of Edwards from coach Mal Meninga's initial squad announcement.

However, Edwards has now been added as a late addition to provide cover for Josh Addo-Carr, who is facing a breach notice from the NRL.

Addo-Carr's alleged misconduct occurred during the Koori Knockout competition, where he is accused of punching an opposition player to the head after a match.

The NRL statement did not specify the punishment for Addo-Carr, but he has been given five business days to respond to the breach notice.
