The upcoming match between the Sharks and the Warriors holds special significance for KL Iro, as over 70 of his family and friends from the Cook Islands will be present to cheer him on.

Among the group is the under-13 Arorangi Bears, Iro's junior club, who will compete against the Kurnell Stingrays in an exhibition game at Marton Park.

The Cook Islands visitors had the unique opportunity to watch Cronulla's NRL squad train, allowing them to meet Iro and other players they had only seen on television.

Many in the group are experiencing their first trip away from their small South Pacific nation, making it a memorable event.

Iro is especially proud, as his younger brother Kaleb is playing for the Bears.
