Siua Wong, a rookie forward for the Roosters, believes that his experience playing for Fiji at the World Cup has prepared him for the NRL finals.
However, the 20-year-old has not ruled out the possibility of switching international allegiances.
Wong, who was born in New Zealand, has a diverse heritage including Fijian, Samoan, Tongan, and Chinese backgrounds.
He chose to represent Fiji at the World Cup to honor his Fijian-Chinese paternal grandfather.
Wong's mother, grandmothers, and maternal grandfather all hail from Tonga and Samoa.
Prior to being scouted by the Roosters, his only significant league experience was playing for a Tonga under 14s team at a Pasifika carnival in Auckland.
Despite his limited experience, Wong has secured a starting second-row position for the Roosters since making his NRL debut in Round 18.
Wong's versatility and multicultural background make him an exciting prospect for the Roosters and potentially for international rugby league as well.
