Hull KR half-back Mikey Lewis and Leeds' centre Harry Newman have been selected to make their Test debuts in the upcoming series against Tonga, according to England coach Shaun Wane.
The squad for the autumn internationals has been heavily changed from last year's Rugby League World Cup, with only 12 survivors from the tournament making the cut this time.
Injuries to key players such as Jonny Lomax, Alex Walmsley, and Herbie Farnworth have opened up opportunities for Lewis and Newman.
Liam Farrell has also been recalled, marking his return to the national team since 2021.
However, captain George Williams is set to miss the first two Tests due to suspension, potentially paving the way for Lewis and Wigan's Harry Smith to lead the halves.
Five players from the NRL have been included in the squad, including John Bateman, Tom Burgess, Victor Radley, Elliott Whitehead, and Dom Young.
Robbie Mulhern may also earn his first cap since 2018 if selected, following an impressive season with the Leigh Centurions.
