The Parramatta Eels have scored a major win with the recent announcement that legendary coach, Jack Gibson, and former player John Quayle (also known as Eel #302) have been welcomed into the NRL Hall of Fame.
Parramatta Eels Chief Executive Jim Sarantinos couldn't contain his excitement as he revealed the induction of these two iconic figures in the world of Rugby League.
Jack Gibson, often likened to the great Wayne Bennett, has now joined the esteemed ranks of Coaches in the Hall of Fame.
With previous coaching gigs at Eastern Suburbs and South Sydney, Gibson brought his expertise to the Eels in 1981.
Taking charge of a team boasting seasoned veterans like Steve Edge, Bob O'Reilly, Michael Cronin, and Ray Price, Gibson helped shape the emerging talents of Peter Sterling, Eric Grothe, Brett Kenny, and Steve Ella into Rugby League superstars.
This induction is a testament to the lasting impact that both Gibson and Quayle have had on the sport, and their names will forever be etched into the annals of Rugby League history.
