Salma Nour, a 20-year-old hooker, was facing a bleak opportunity in the NRLW.
However, her situation has taken a turn for the better.
According to reports from weststigers.com.au, Nour's dream of playing in the NRLW has become a reality after she decided to return to her junior roots in the Western Suburbs.
Originally a dancer, Nour was inspired by her older brothers to give rugby league a try when she was just seven years old.
She began playing for the Liverpool Catholic Club Raiders girls' team in the Under-13s division.
Nour's talent caught the attention of her high-school teacher, who encouraged her to trial for the Illawarra Steelers' program.
She spent several seasons with the Steelers before eventually joining the Wests Tigers.
