In a recent development, Alex McKinnon's ex-wife Teigan Power has gone public with her new relationship.
This news comes after McKinnon, who suffered a devastating spinal injury during a NRL game for Newcastle against Melbourne in 2014, split with Power last year after their 12-year marriage.
Despite their separation, the couple continues to co-parent their three children and maintain a friendly relationship.
Power, however, has now found love again and shared pictures of a family outing to the Hunter Valley Gardens, featuring her new partner Jake Nelson.
This turn of events may be particularly difficult for McKinnon, who got engaged to Power shortly after awakening from a coma following his life-altering injury.
The couple tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed three beautiful children into their lives.
Sadly, the challenges of raising a young family seemed to strain their relationship, leading to their separation in April of last year.
In a recent interview, McKinnon revealed that despite their split, he and Power remain close friends.
