In a move that has sent shockwaves through the rugby league world, Tyrone Roberts, a seasoned half with NRL experience, has found a new home after his stint with the Burleigh Bears in the QLD Cup last season.

According to zero tackle, the 32-year-old has signed on with Northern United in the NRRRL competition, becoming their biggest marquee signing since the illustrious Andrew Walker, who graced the Kangaroos and Wallabies teams.

Roberts made his NRL debut back in 2011 for the Newcastle Knights and spent a respectable ten seasons in the league, accumulating an impressive 158 first-grade appearances for the Knights, Gold Coast Titans, and Brisbane Broncos.

Not one to limit his experiences to Australia alone, Roberts also spent time overseas, notably with Warrington in the UK, where he played a pivotal role in their 2018 Super League Grand Final campaign, only to fall agonizingly short against Wigan.

Most recently, Roberts showcased his leadership skills as he led the Burleigh Bears to the QLD Cup Grand Final, although they suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the Brisbane Tigers, with a scoreline of 22-18.

This new venture with Northern United promises to be an exciting chapter in Roberts' already illustrious career, and fans can't wait to see what he brings to the table.
