NSW Origin forward Tyson Frizell has been selected to join the Tonga squad for the historic Test series against England.

This series will mark the first time a Pacific nation, Tonga, will play a full three-Test series against England.

Frizell will be joining a forward pack that already boasts several big names, such as Addin Fonua-Blake, Felise Kaufusi, Moeaki Fotuaika, Keaon Koloamatangi, Tevita Tatola, and Haumole Olakau'atu.

Although notable absentee Jason Taumalolo won't be present, Tonga's coach Kristian Woolf has still managed to choose a strong squad.

Along with Frizell, the squad will also feature Storm strike forward Eliesa Katoa and Sydney Roosters second-rower Suia Wong as new faces.

Frizell, who has Welsh heritage from his father and Tongan heritage from his mother, previously played five Tests for Wales in 2011 and 2013.

He has also represented Australia in 16 Tests and made 16 Origin appearances for NSW.

In addition to their formidable forward pack, Tonga will also bring plenty of talent and speed in their backline to the Test series against England.
