New South Wales (NSW) Origin forward Tyson Frizell will be joining the Tonga squad for their historic Test series against England.
This will be the first time a Pacific nation, Tonga, will be playing a full three-Test series against England.
Frizell will be joining an already formidable forward pack that includes names like Addin Fonua-Blake, Felise Kaufusi, Moeaki Fotuaika, Keaon Koloamatangi, Tevita Tatola, and Haumole Olakau'atu.
Although Jason Taumalolo will not be playing, Tonga's coach Kristian Woolf has still managed to select a strong squad, which includes Frizell, Storm's strike forward Eliesa Katoa, and Sydney Roosters' second-rower Suia Wong as new additions.
Frizell, who has played for Wales in the past due to his Welsh father, also has a Tongan mother.
He has previously represented Australia in 16 Tests and has made 16 Origin appearances for NSW.
In addition to their strong forward pack, Tonga will also have plenty of talent and speed in their backline.
The combination of experienced international players and emerging NRL young guns is expected to make Tonga a formidable opponent in the Test series against England.
