In a display of true sportsmanship, Mitch Barnett and Jacob Saifiti have put their close friendship on hold as they prepare to face each other in Saturday's semi-final in Auckland.

Despite commitments to each other's upcoming weddings, the two players have vowed to focus solely on the game at hand.

Barnett, who will serve as one of Saifiti's groomsmen later this year, had the pleasure of having Jacob's twin brother Daniel as his groomsman in 2018.

These three players have formed a tight bond since Barnett joined the Knights in 2016, enduring the club's difficult years together.

Now, they find themselves on opposing teams, eager to make it to Week 2 of the finals series for the first time in their careers.
