Sydney Roosters Members and fans have reason to celebrate as the NSW Government has announced plans to extend on-grass parking at Moore Park.

This is particularly significant for Roosters home games at Allianz Stadium, as it ensures that all fans, regardless of their proximity or access to public transport, can attend the games.

The use of the grass at Moore Park East as a game day carpark has been a tradition for the past century, and this extension will allow it to continue.

Currently, the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust Act mandates the removal of all on-grass parking near Kippax Lake and the south of Moore Park East, which is located opposite the SCG and Hordern Pavilion.

However, Venues NSW is already working on developing a new carpark that will compensate for the loss of on-grass parking near Kippax Lake.

Unfortunately, the completion date for this carpark is expected to be in late 2025, which is two years after the legislated deadline of December 31, 2023.

The announcement of the extension of on-grass parking at Moore Park provides a temporary solution for Roosters Members and fans until the new carpark is completed.

This ensures that they can continue to enjoy the convenience of on-site parking for the next few years.

It also demonstrates the commitment of the NSW Government to the accessibility and enjoyment of rugby league games for all supporters.

Overall, this announcement is a win for Roosters Members and fans, as it guarantees their access to Allianz Stadium and allows them to fully participate in the game day experience.

It also highlights the importance of parking facilities in enhancing the overall match-day atmosphere and ensuring that fans can easily support their team.
