Foran's Resilient Debut Drives Manly Victory

‘That was coming’: Foran deflects praise on Manly players after ‘look in the mirror’ ultimatum

Kieran Foran left the field grinning after a whirlwind week concluded with Manly's impressive 52-18 victory over the Dolphins.

This marked Foran's first game as head coach, stepping in following Anthony Seibold's dismissal just four rounds into the season.

"It was a whirlwind week, it was crazy, but that was an awesome effort, the boys were outstanding," Foran remarked.

Despite the rocky beginning to the season, Foran believed that a performance of this caliber was on the horizon and acknowledged the players for taking responsibility for the outcome.

"I felt like that performance was coming," he explained.

"We've showed glimpses of that. We've been really, really good in patches. But the challenge for them this week was putting in a complete performance and doing it for longer periods."

He continued, "And I just thought the week was great. The boys were outstanding. Obviously it was a huge week. There was a lot going on. You can't take away from that, but they turned up tonight."
