Kieran Foran, the New Zealand international and retiring half-back for the Gold Coast Titans, has announced his new role as an assistant coach with the Manly Sea Eagles for the upcoming two seasons.

The seasoned five-eighth has been viewed as a future coaching prospect, and he will begin his coaching career as part of Anthony Seibold's staff, who is currently under pressure.

This off-season, Seibold has restructured the Sea Eagles, which included Michael Ennis's transition to the St George Illawarra Dragons.

As a result, Foran's return to Manly has been facilitated; he is considered one of the club's cherished figures, having played 196 matches for the team over two separate periods.

During his tenure, he was integral to the club's premiership win in 2011.

Throughout his career, Foran amassed a total of 318 games, and he is expected to focus on mentoring the younger talents, including Joey Walsh, who is being groomed as the future number seven for the team.

"I'm stoked to be coming back to Manly, I really am," Foran expressed regarding his new appointment.
