The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles showcased their prowess in the Jersey Flegg Cup with an exhilarating 32-16 victory over the St George-Illawarra Dragons in Shellharbour on Saturday.

Despite initially trailing 10-0, the Sea Eagles demonstrated their resilience and skill to dominate the game.

At half-time, they held a commanding 20-10 lead after scoring five tries to the Dragons' three.

Notably, five-eighth Latu Fainu showcased his exceptional talent by contributing to two of the tries.

This crucial win has kept the Sea Eagles' slim chances of making the finals alive, as they currently sit in eighth place with 22 points.

However, they face a challenging road ahead, with matches against the top three teams and a rematch against the Dragons in their remaining four fixtures.

The Dragons had a fortuitous start, capitalizing on a rebound from a kick-off that landed back in their possession.

This stroke of luck allowed centre Hayden Buchanan to score the opening try and give the Dragons a 4-0 lead.

Five minutes later, the Dragons extended their advantage to 10-0 with a converted try from five-eighth Lyhkan King-Togia, thanks to the impressive playmaking skills of half-back Ashton Ward.
