The young lads from Sharks HQ are lamenting a near miss in the Jersey Flegg Grand Final, where they were pipped at the post by the Bulldogs in a heart-stopping 14-12 showdown.

Despite being down 14-0 in the first half, the Sharks clawed their way back with two late tries, showing the true grit and determination of a team fighting tooth and nail for victory.

It was a barnstorming season for the Sharks, who went on a ten-game rampage to reach the pinnacle of the competition.

But on the day, the Bulldogs came out firing, with their half back Cassius Tia orchestrating plays like a maestro on the field.

Even a stint in the sin bin for Sharks fullback Siteni Taukamo couldn't stop the Bulldogs from building an early lead.

As the clock ticked down, the Sharks threw everything they had at their opponents, but alas, the final whistle blew before they could cross the try line one last time.

But they can hold their heads high, knowing they fought valiantly until the very end.

In the end, it was a tough loss to swallow, but the Sharks will dust themselves off and come back stronger next season, hungry for redemption and ready to unleash their full potential on the field.
