Dragons coach Shane Flanagan has stepped up to the plate and addressed the recent news about star winger Zac Lomax being released from his contract at the end of the season.
Flanagan, known for his strategic plays and tactical expertise, has not only discussed the swirling rumors of a potential player swap involving Lomax, but he has also tackled the topic of club captain Ben Hunt's future.
Hunt, a seasoned player with a knack for leading his team to victory, was previously linked with a departure from the Dragons.
As confirmed by the club earlier this week, Lomax has been granted an early release from the final two years of his contract and is now free to explore his options with other teams.
However, amidst murmurs that Lomax could make an early exit from the Dragons, Flanagan has come out swinging against the speculations.
The crafty coach made it clear that there will be no player swap involving Lomax, shutting down talks of potential deals with rival teams such as the Parramatta Eels.
"There's no fancy footwork happening here, Zac will be staying with us until the end of the season," Flanagan explained confidently, showcasing his commitment to keeping the team united and focused on their goals.
With Flanagan at the helm, the Dragons are sure to navigate through this storm and emerge stronger on the other side.
