The upcoming NRL Indigenous Round is set to hit the field with even more support for Indigenous-owned businesses, adding another kick to the game's reconciliation journey.

Not content to just pass the ball around, the NRL is stepping up its game by forming connections with current and former players who have ventured into entrepreneurship.

This move aims to not only strengthen ties within the rugby league community but also create future opportunities for all involved.

Alanah Scholes, the NRL Reconciliation Action Plan program manager, emphasized the importance of including Indigenous businesses and communities in the game off the field.

With a focus on events like the NRL All Stars and Indigenous Round, the league is aiming to score big by involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the action.

With this added layer of support for Indigenous businesses, the NRL is driving forward towards a goal of unity and collaboration both on and off the field.

It's a game-changer and a try worth celebrating in the history books of Rugby League.
