"Fairytale ending": Preston hungry for Sharks premiership

In a true David vs Goliath battle, Cronulla's fearless halfback Tayla Preston is on a mission to lead the Sharks to premiership glory before she heads off to lead Canterbury into the NRLW arena.

It's a tale as old as time, with Preston determined to leave her mark on the Shire before embarking on her next adventure.

Despite facing some formidable opponents in the upcoming weeks, including the Titans, Roosters, and Broncos, the Sharks remain undefeated in the first five rounds.

It's a true test of their mettle, but they're ready to tackle each challenge head on with grit and determination.

Even with setbacks to their key players in the spine, including fullback Jada Taylor's season-ending knee injury and star five-eighth Emma Tonegato missing two matches due to a calf strain, coach Tony Herman's team has shown resilience and strength.

They currently sit four points clear at the top of the ladder, defying the odds and proving their worth.

Preston, who will be donning the blue and white of the Bulldogs next season, is focused on maintaining their winning streak and carrying that momentum through to the business end of the season.

It's all about digging deep, playing with heart, and leaving everything out on the field to chase that ultimate prize - a premiership for the Sharks.

It's a dream she's determined to make a reality before she bids farewell to the club that has become her home.
