The end of an era is upon us as Shaun Johnson gears up for his final curtain call at CommBank Stadium in Sydney this Sunday.
After a string of farewell appearances over the past 10 weeks, this truly is the last hurrah for the 34-year-old New Zealand Warriors legend.
Despite a heartbreaking loss to Tonga last weekend, Johnson has been named in an unchanged lineup for the Kiwis' Pacific Championships clash against Papua New Guinea.
The sporting gods may have had other plans for Johnson, wishing for him to face the Kangaroos in his final Test, but fate had a different idea.
Instead, Johnson will face off against the Kumuls in what will be only his second showdown with Papua New Guinea, a decade after their first meeting at the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
Back then, Johnson kicked eight goals in a dominant 56-10 win for the Kiwis.
As the sun sets on his illustrious career, Johnson will no doubt leave a lasting legacy in the world of Rugby League.
His skill, passion, and dedication to the game have solidified his place as one of the greats.
So, as we bid farewell to a true sporting icon, let's raise a glass to Shaun Johnson and all the memories he has given us on the field.
Cheers mate.
