Final Two Referees Confirmed for NRL Grand Final

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

After a weekend marked by controversial officiating, the NRL has announced that Ashley Klein and Grant Atkins are the likely referees for the grand final.

The first week of the finals featured contentious calls in all four matches. However, Todd Smith and Adam Gee, who officiated the Cronulla Sharks vs. Sydney Roosters game and the Melbourne Storm vs. Canterbury Bulldogs match respectively, have not been selected to continue in the final round.

Instead, Klein and Atkins will take charge of the matches this weekend, with David Munro, Matt Noyen, Ziggy Przeklasa-Adamski, and Chris Sutton serving as touch judges.

Additionally, Chris Butler, recognized by senior officials as the premier bunker official in the league, will oversee both contests from the video review booth this weekend.

Below are the full appointments for the semi-finals.
