In a thrilling Rugby League clash, Wests Tigers emerged victorious with a narrow 24-23 win over the Dolphins at CommBank Stadium, as reported by weststigers.com.au.
The match saw a seesaw battle between the two teams, with the outcome ultimately decided by a penalty goal successfully kicked from the sideline.
It was captain Api Koroisau's clutch conversion that made all the difference in the closely contested encounter.
After a four-week drought, Wests Tigers broke the deadlock by scoring the first try of the match, courtesy of a brilliant offload by Stefano Utoikamanu that found Fonua Pole in full charge.
However, the Dolphins quickly responded, with Jamayne Isaako finding the try line.
Asu Kepaoa then added a second try for the hosts, capitalizing on a break from Jahream Bula.
Both teams traded tries throughout the match, with Sean O'Sullivan making a decisive line-break and delivering an unmarked pass to Euan Aitken for a try.
Just before halftime, it seemed like Wests Tigers were set to extend their lead as Isaiah Papali'i crossed the try line.
