Impressive rookie duo Sunia Turuva and Jahream Bula have been named in the Fiji squad for the upcoming Pacific Championships.

The talented young players were both finalists for the 2023 Dally M Rookie of the Year, with Turuva eventually taking home the award.

They are among several NRL players selected by coach Wise Kativerata.

Joining them in the squad are Parramatta pair Maika Sivo and Waqa Blake, as well as experienced outside backs Mikaele Ravalawa and Taane Milne.

The team will be captained by Storm forward Tui Kamikamica, who is taking over from Kevin Naiqama.

The men's team will kick off their campaign on October 22 against Cook Islands, followed by a match against hosts Papua New Guinea on October 29.

The women's side, featuring players such as Cassie Staples, Sereana Naitokatoka, and Talei Holmes, will play their sole fixture against Samoa on October 15.
