The Wests Tigers website is reporting that Fiji and Lutu have their sights set on the World Cup.

The Fiji Bati players honored the Bulikula team with a guard of honour and a hymn as they left their hotel in Suva for their World Cup qualifier against Cook Islands.

The night before, both teams came together for a jersey presentation, with families from all over Fiji joining in for an emotional event.

In the lead-up to their 18-6 victory over Cook Islands at HFC Stadium, the Bulikula team's profile and fan interest soared in Fiji.

If they secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup by defeating Fetū Sāmoa in Auckland or triumphing in next year's World Series against Ireland, Nigeria, and a team from the Americas - either Canada, Jamaica, or the USA - support is sure to hit new heights.
