The Brisbane Broncos are facing some bleak prospects as coach Kevin Walters acknowledges that star player Adam Reynolds could be sidelined for the rest of the season.
The team is reeling from not only Reynolds' injury, but also from another blow as Jesse Arthars was hospitalised with a broken jaw after a tough 40-18 defeat to the Roosters.
Walters remains optimistic about the possibility of getting both Reynolds and Arthars back on the field for the crucial end of the season, despite their setbacks.
Reynolds' torn bicep and Arthars' broken jaw have dealt a heavy blow to the Broncos' championship aspirations.
"Yeah, not looking too rosy for him," Walters commented on Reynolds' injury.
"He's got the torn bicep, so it looks like he'll need surgery and a significant amount of time to recover.
It could potentially be a season-ending injury, but we won't know for sure until he goes under the knife."
In the face of adversity, the Broncos will need to dig deep and show their resilience as they navigate through these challenges on their way to potential glory.
It will be a test of their character and determination as they push through this turbulent period in pursuit of their ultimate goal.
