George Illawarra Dragons have provided an injury update on winger Mathew Feagai, who suffered a fibula fracture and high-grade syndesmosis injury in his right ankle during their recent match against Manly.

Feagai will undergo surgery to stabilize the fracture and ligament, with his return-to-play timeframe to be determined post-surgery.

Additionally, forward Hamish Stewart sustained a concussion and will be unavailable for round eight.

The club's website stated, "X-rays revealed a fibula fracture and high-grade syndesmosis injury in his right ankle.

Feagai will undergo surgery on Saturday to stabilise the fracture and syndesmosis ligament.

A return-to-play timeframe will be determined once surgery is complete.

Forward Hamish Stewart also sustained a concussion against Manly and will be unavailable for round eight."
